Travelers going to Shenzhen Airport since 2018 would notice the advertising billboard by Awinic (艾为电子), a fabless IC company headquartered in Shanghai.

Founded in 2008, Awinic focuses on chips of high-performance mixed-signal, analog, and RF for mobile phones, AI, IoT, automotive electronics, wearables, and consumer electronics. It was listed on Shanghai’s STAR Market in August 2021. The company also shines with its marketing and social responsibility activities.

Awinic’s new advertising at Shenzhen International Airport. With an annual passenger throughput of 50 million, this airport has one of the largest technology-related travelers. In early 2022, Awinic started to screen its new image called “Chip Layout,” using its unique blue color, indicating technology and wisdom, calmness and rigorousness, romance and liveliness. The flying blue ribbon expresses encouragement, care, and gratitude to the company’s partners and customers. In the blue gift box wrapped by the ribbon is the message of “Awinic committing to Chinese IC designs” radiating under the illumination of the backlight.

In early 2022, Awinic has a series of new promotional gifts: dolls for the Year of the Tiger, 2022 desk calendar, chip quicksand notebooks, epoxy keychains, products, and a PCB engineer ruler.

In 2018, Awinic celebrated its tenth anniversary with this two cartoon images - “Xiao Ai” (female) and “Xiaowei” (male) after the company’s name, one of the first companies to do this in China’s IC design industry.

To fulfill its corporate social responsibilities, Awinic cooperated with the Shanghai Minhang District Education Bureau and launched a series of colorful research and learning events for teenagers on chips. Nearly 1,000 students, teachers, and parents have participated since 2019.

In 2021, Awinic worked with Shanghai Minhang District Mental Health Center to launch a charity project to care for the lonely and widowed elderly, calling on more people to pay attention to and participate in social welfare activities.

Awinic also organized “Red Nose” activities for protecting the Yangtze finless porpoise and planting trees in dessert, raising awareness of natural conservation.
