Huawei and its partners are exploring an upgrade to 5.5G for applications under ubiquitous 10Gbps and 100 billion connections

Huawei and its key partners are calling on to develop more 5.5G technology, bringing about a ubiquitous 10 Gbps experience and 100 billion connectivity.

At the Huawei Global Analyst Summit (HAS) 2022 on April 26-27, there was one session on building a 5Gigaverse and green society. Huawei’s executives and its partner representatives made their remarks and shared their application cases. 

Gan Bin, Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of Huawei Wireless Solution, noted that “5.5G will deepen the digital and intelligent transformation with ubiquitous 10 Gbps experience and 100 billion connectivity. With industry partners, Huawei will explore the new trend in innovative technologies and upgrade network capabilities.”

Wang Zhiqin, Vice President of the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology(CAICT), expressed that in the future, it was necessary to enhance the capabilities of 5G networks continuously, store high-bandwidth spectrum, promote the progress of the industry orderly, and expand the boundaries of 5G applications, deepening the convergence of the digital economy and the physical world.

Ding Haiyu, Vice President of China Mobile Research Institute, said that China Mobile would join hands with industrial partners and users to define new applications and new value needs for 5G development and work on innovating 5G. China Mobile and its partners will jointly formulate new 5G technology evolution standards and build a new 5G ecosystem paradigm to fuel the country’s 5G development.

Gu Jun, Vice President of Supply Chain Performance and Digitalization of Schneider Electric China, said that Schneider Electric has been actively exploring the transformation of intelligent manufacturing and has tried 5G applications in traditional manufacturing’s flexible production lines, real-time collaboration between upstream and downstream supply chains, and intelligent warehousing. 

Dr. Jiang Shuhong, Vice President of EasyAR, a city-scale AR cloud solution provider in Shanghai, said that its newly released EasyAR Mega is a city-level spatial computing technology platform with functions including data acquisition, 3D reconstruction, visual positioning, and editing, providing developers with the ability to develop large-space AR content. 5G enables users to seamlessly and realistically bring virtual content and experiences into the real world to build AR metaverse world and applications better.
