Chinese laser equipment manufacturer Delphi Laser plans to build a new energy high-end laser equipment plant with an investment of RMB1.08 billion

(JW Insights)Apr 27-- Delphi Laser(德龙激光), a Chinese laser equipment provider, announced plans to build a new energy high-end equipment project on April 25, with an investment of RMB1.08 billion($156 million). 

Located in Jiangyin, eastern China’s Jiangsu Province, the project will consist of building a production line with an annual output of 420 sets of new energy high-end laser equipment and establishing a research and development center.

With the continuous high-speed growth of new energy vehicles, the acceleration of the industrialization of perovskite thin-film solar cells, and the continuous increase in global photovoltaic installed capacity, the company sees enormous potential in the future development of the new energy field.

The plant’s main products will include intelligent equipment for power batteries, energy storage batteries, crystalline silicon solar cells, thin-film solar cells. This will be a strong guarantee and powerful driving force to support the company’s future development and further enhance the company’s profitability and core competitiveness, according to Delphi Laser.

The capitals for this project are the company’s own or self-raised funds. The company will contribute funds in batches and invest RMB80 million($11.5 million) for the first phase. In the short term, this project will not have a substantial impact on the company’s performance.

In 2022, the company’s total operating income hit RMB568 million($82 million), a year-on-year increase of 3.48%. The income growth rate slowed down due to a lackluster economy and other factors, said Delphi Laser.

Delphi Laser was established in 2005 and is located in Suzhou Industrial Park, eastern China’s Jiangsu Province. It focuses on precision laser processing equipment and lasers, as well as providing laser equipment rental and laser processing services for customers.
