(JW Insights) Jul 26 -- China’s smartphone manufacturer vivo has suspended the sales of its products in the Dutch market; It took down on July 25 all product introductions from its official website in the Netherlands, leaving only the homepage and support pages.

vivo stated, “Unfortunately, we have to temporarily suspend our operations in the Netherlands. We want to assure all current users of vivo smartphones in the Netherlands that they can rely on our full software and hardware support, as well as complete after-sales service.” However, vivo did not disclose the specific reason for suspending sales in the Dutch market.

In addition to the Netherlands market, vivo announced the suspension of product sales in the German market at the end of May this year. The reason was a patent lawsuit against vivo, where the Mannheim Regional Court ruled in favor of Nokia in April. The lawsuit involved Nokia's 4G standard essential patents (SEP), according to media reports.
