The 1st day of the JiWei Semiconductor Summit (JWSS) for China's IC investment community opened on June 25 in Haicang, Xiamen of Fujian Province in southeastern China to packed conference rooms of the 4th Policy Briefing Summit, Analysts Conference, and the 3rd "Chip Power 2021" demo competition final. It reached a climax at night after Welcome Dinner when industry elites gathered together to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Rockchip – one of the biggest mobile CPU-level design houses based in Xiamen,  amid a nationwide buzz of IC investment and trading. "Sino-US tech competition" and "IC shortage" are the keywords heard from time to time in conference presentations and delegate conversations.

P2. The Policy Briefing Summit had representatives from 11 IC and technology industrial parks and centers present their latest developments and practices. They come from Haicang of Xiamen, Qingdao, Chengdu, Tianjin, Xian, Quanzhou, and Wuxi. 

P 3. Lingang New Area's "Orient IC Port" had a special presentation on its achievements so far and goal to be the No.1 IC park with global impact.  It also unveiled its Nano Industry Park – another leading dedicated one in China.

P4.  The Analysts Conference attracted a full-house, with 12 speakers from Chinese and international research firms, investment institutes, and industry associations. They include JW Insights, Gartner, TechSearch International, Omdia, Yole, Techcet, Tianfeng Securities, Winsoul Capital, U.S. SIA, and Beijing SIA.

P.6 The China Semiconductor Investment Alliance had its board meeting, representing 129 founding members from 67 leading investment institutes and 62 well-known semiconductor companies. The meeting welcomed new members and invited more to join.

P7. Ding Wenwu, President of China Semiconductor Investment Alliance, toasting the welcome banquet and cheered China's IC industry's rising.

P 8. The panel discussion on "Where does China's IC industry go?" had IC elite executives and investors expressing confidence in China's self-relying endeavor for IC and next-generation semiconductor and AI chips.

P 9. The party of the day, "Rockchip Night," pulled together China's IC industry's top executives and investors to celebrate Rockchip's 20th anniversary over drinking and singing.

The 2nd day of the 5th JWSS will run on June 26 with more exciting programs, including the General Summit with governmental and trade association leaders presenting on the status and direction of China's IC industry, the award ceremony for the "Chip Power 2021" demo competition final, forum on EDA/IP, high-end IC and investment and funding as well as the gatherings of 11 electronics university alumni.
