Part of Arm’s power in the industry originated from its neutrality. Everybody finds Arm reliable because it’s not in the competition and therefor no conflicts of interests. However, all the trusts would be gone if Nvidia managed to acquire the company, then how would Arm compete with x86, RISC-V or other architectures in traditional as well as “greenfield” areas? In this episode, Dr. Roddy Urquhart discusses how the markets would alter while Arm loses control of its own fate. Dr. Urquhart is Senior Marketing Director at Codasip, and has solid technical experience in the semiconductor industry.
