The Tianjin parties in the cooperation are Binhai High-tech Industrial Development Area and Haihe Industry Funds Management Company.
Yu Renrong, founder and chairman of Will Semiconductor, said, “I graduated from IEIT, and hope to do my part in its development.”
“Our company has established a good cooperative relationship with Tianjin and has already implemented a large number of IC businesses. We hope that more outstanding enterprises will continue to be incubated and settled in Tianjin through this cooperation,” he added.
The signed agreement said that all parties will pull resources together for in-depth and long-term collaboration on academic research, technological innovation, and talent training. They will also support the growth of the high-quality projects of IEIT and Will’s ecosystem in Tianjin, and jointly build a booming electronics industry in Tianjin.
The IEIT was established in 2015 with the support of Tianjin Binhai New Area and the China-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City Administrative Committee. It leverages the advanced scientific research and talents of Tsinghua University for prototyping and industrializing research achievements in the field of electronics and information technology.
Will Semiconductor is a Shanghai-based company founded in 2007. In 2019, it acquired the world’s leading image sensor company OmniVision Technologies which develops advanced digital imaging, analog, and touch and display solutions for multiple applications and industries.
