Huawei and South Korea’s Dongguk University sign to train ICT talents

(JW Insights) Sep 1 -- The South Korean company of China’s tech giant Huawei signed a memorandum of understanding with the Korean Dongguk University to promote the development of the ICT industry and train related talents, The Elec reported on August 31.

Huawei South Korea will provide free lectures through Huawei's global online education program 'Huawei ICT Academy' on Huawei's company, technology and business strategy for ICT major students.

Wang Balian, CEO of Huawei South Korea, said, “Talent is the key to corporate development amid the global wave of technological innovation and digital transformation. Huawei and Dongguk University are seeking development in cutting-edge technology through continuous exchange and cooperation.”

Dongguk University president said the university is increasing investment in science and engineering departments. By signing this agreement, he hopes to improve human resources in the high-tech field that will lead the future.

Meanwhile, Huawei South Korea is developing various programs to train ICT talents. It is also working with other universities and research institutes including Hanyang University and the Korea Information Processing Society, according to The Elec.
