Newly appointed China president of Synopsys, Inc. (新思科技) Ge Qun (Magic Ge) said his company would work closely with local Chinese partners in innovations and support China’s digitalization process while maintaining more effective two-way communications with its U.S. head office.
In 2021, Synopsys continued to expand its market in China, which contributed over 13% of its worldwide revenue, more than the 11.4% in the previous fiscal year.
Ge Qun's appointment came last December. He started with Synopsys in 2006 and has been global VP of sales for China since 2017. He said: " I am very pleased and privileged to take on this new role with greater responsibility. As China's digital economy has entered a new phase of development, the whole semiconductor industry, as the provider of enabler technology, is sharing the same future. Synopsys is collaborating within the industry and making a greater contribution to the faster growth of China’s semiconductor industry with our disruptive technologies.
