Chinese EDA startup Easy-Logic Technology(奇捷科技) hires Qin Ming(秦明), former deputy general manager of Synopsys China, as its Chief Marketing Officer(CMO). He is expected to optimize the market positioning, expand the market, and lead the team to achieve sales goals.

Qin has been active in the EDA industry for nearly 30 years with rich strategic marketing experience with both international giants and Chinese domestic startups.

Easy-Logic Technology was established in Hong Kong in 2014. The company’s core team includes professors and Ph.D. graduates from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering of the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Before starting the company, they had accumulated years of technical experience in EDA, especially in logic synthesis, logic function verification, and logic function correction for digital chip design, and have won the CAD competition held by the top conference in the EDA field for three consecutive years ((2012-2014).

Qin Ming said, “I used to work in foreign companies, but I always want to participate in the construction of China’s domestic EDA software. In recent years, China attaches more importance to the EDA industry, and I hope to do my best and make my contribution.”.

Qin graduated from China’s prestigious Tsinghua University with an undergraduate degree and held an EMBA from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Before joining Easy-Logic Technology, He worked at Siemens Mentor first, then Synopsys for more than 12 years, and became Vice President of Synopsys China.

Subsequently, Qin joined Chinese EDA startup Empyrean Technology(华大九天) and served as vice president of the company. Under his leadership, Empyrean made big breakthroughs in sales volume.

China is pushing to develop a homegrown industry as the global geopolitical tensions continue to escalate. With favorable government policies and the influx of state-backed capital and VCs into China's semiconductor industry, many EDA startups are in search of more experienced talents.
