Nineteen Chinese universities with strong electronics engineering programs have confirmed to participate in the Alumni Gathering Forum at the 6th Jiwei Semiconductor Summit (JWSS) to take place in Xiamen City on July 15-16, 2022, JW Insights announced.
The 19 universities include Tsinghua University, Peking University, Fudan University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Zhejiang University, University of Science and Technology of China, Beihang University, Xi’an Jiaotong University, Nanjing University, Southeast University, and Wuhan University.
The annual alumni gathering has been one of the most attractive and important features of the JWSS with its wide influence in China’s semiconductor investment community. Since its launch in 2019, the forum has attracted many alumni from well-known universities and are active players in the semiconductor industry, with many being founders and CEOs.
With three year staging, this year's alumni gathering will be upgraded in scale and value. The number of participating universities started with five, to last year’s 11 and to 19 this year, hitting a record high.
This year's alumni gathering and the forum will be jointly sponsored by JW Insights and the alumini’s universities with their school of microelectronics or related colleges. It is different from the alumni’s spontaneous participation and organization in previous years, demonstrating the universities’ recognition of this event.
