China’s IC imports numbered 417.13 billion, a decrease of 12.8%, and valued at RMB2.07 trillion($283.29 billion), an increase of 2.6%, in the first three quarters of 2022, showed data from China’s General Administration of Customs(GAC), JW Insights reported.
China’s total import and export value was RMB31.11 trillion ($4.26 trillion), an increase of 9.9% over the same period last year. Exports and imports valued at RMB17.67 trillion ($2.42 trillion) and RMB13.44 trillion($1.84 trillion), respectively, creating a trade surplus of RMB4.23 trillion ($578.90 billion), an increase of 53.7%, said data from GAC.
In the first three quarters, China's export of mechanical and electrical products was valued at RMB10.04 trillion ($1.37 trillion), an increase of 10%, accounting for 56.8% of the total export value. Among them, exports of automatic data processing equipment and its parts, mobile phones, and automobiles brought in RMB1.18 trillion($161.49 billion), RMB672.25 billion($92 billion), and RMB259.84 billion ($35.56 billion), respectively.
Meanwhile, China’s imports of mechanical and electrical products were valued at RMB5.2 trillion ($711.66 billion), down 3.8%. Among them, imported automobiles (including chassis) numbered 671,000, a decrease of 11%, and valued at RMB269.76 billion ($36.92 billion), a 0.2% decrease.
