China Electronics Data Industry Group (CEDIG中国电子数据产业集团) was officially established in Shenzhen on December 25. It is the first data company established by a state-owned enterprise China Electronics Corporation (CEC中国电子), CEC announced.

The group will focus on autonomic computing, data security, and increasing data value with the aim to promote the construction of digital government and digital transformation.

Autonomic computing is an emerging research hotspot. It mainly uses existing computer technology to replace part of human work, so the computer system can be self-tuned, self-configured, self-protected, and self-repaired. This can improve the computer system's efficiency and reduce management costs.

Founded in 1989, Shenzhen-based CEC takes cyberspace security and informatization as its core business. It owns a number of companies covering key technologies such as CPUs chips and operating systems; It has ranked among Fortune 500 Global Companies for 11 consecutive years.
