(JW Insights) Apr 14 -- Chinese President Xi Jinping visited LG Display’s plant in Guangzhou in southern China’s Guangdong Province on April 12 during his tour to the city meeting French President Macron, reported JW Insights.
A subsidiary of LG Electronics in South Korea, LG Display is one of the world's largest manufacturers of thin-film transistor liquid crystal display panels, OLEDs, and flexible displays.
It started investing in Guangzhou in 2006, and its plant there has the world's largest and most advanced 8.5-generation OLED production line. It’s also one of the company’s largest production bases outside of South Korea.
According to Guangzhou Daily, nearly half of the world's large-size OLED TV panels are produced in Guangzhou. It is home also to renowned display manufacturers like Visionox (维信诺), and Sakai SIO (超视堺), apart from LG Display.
