(JW Insights) Apr 14 -- Yangjie Electronic Technology(扬杰科技), a Chinese IDM manufacturer, is to build a production base in Vietnam, the company announced on April 11.
This move aims to optimize its global industrial layout, enhance its core competitiveness and develop overseas supply capacity. The new base will cater to the demand of international clients and its brand - MCC(Micro Commercial Components).
With a $90 million investment, the new facility will operate under its to-be-established subsidiary -Micro Commercial Components (Vietnam). It will be engaged in the design, manufacturing, and sales of semiconductor chips and devices.
Founded in 2000 and listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange in January 2014, Yangjie Electronic Technology mainly focuses on discrete semiconductor chip design and production, packaging, and testing. Its head office is in Yangzhou, eastern China’s Jiangsu Province.
In 2022, Yangjie Electronic Technology’s revenue reached RMB5.418 billion ($790 million), a year-on-year increase of 23.22%, with a net profit up 38.17% year-on-year to RMB1.061 billion ($150 million), according to its performance report.
