(JW Insights) Apr 18 -- China's tech giant Huawei will equip large AI model in the premium EV brand AITO flagship SUV M9, which it supplies the controlling software system, announced Yu Chengdong, Huawei's CEO of terminal BG and the Intelligent Automotive Solution BU on April 17. The new car will come out in Q4 this year.
“Intelligentization is the key to winning the second half of the intelligent EV competition. The year 2025 will be a watershed, and the EV industry will repeat the change from feature phones to smartphones over 10 years ago. A company may disappear in the future if it can't seize the opportunity, no matter how powerful it is," Yu added.
Huawei officially released the advanced intelligent driving system ADS 2.0 at the 2023 Huawei Intelligent Vehicle Solutions Conference on April 16, with slogan “Make people drive safer, make intelligent driving easier.”
The system will debut in AITO M5 Intelligent Driving edition, followed by more models including Avatr 11 and ARCFOX αS HI Version.
Huawei's Intelligent Automotive Solution BU has shipped over 2 million intelligent components, launched five strategic cooperation models, and has more than 300+ ecosystem partners. Over a dozen strategic cooperation models will come out from this fall to next year, said the company.
