(JW Insights) Apr 21 -- China’s tech conglomerate Huawei Technologies announced on April 20 that it has developed its own enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, a software that underpins operations, across the company, reported China Daily.
Until this breakthrough, Huawei had used an ERP developed by Oracle, an American software firm.
Huawei said over the past three years it has invested considerably and collaborated with industrial and ecological partners to overcome difficulties and develop a large-scale cloud native system, dubbed MetaERP.
Currently, MetaERP covers 100 percent of Huawei's business scenarios and 80 percent of its business volume and has gone through tests of monthly, quarterly, and annual settlements with zero failures and zero delays, Huawei said, according to China Daily’s report.
