(JW Insights) May 29 -- TRUMPF Group opened its Shenzhen branch office on May 24, serving as its laser application R&D center and customer service center, the company announced on May 26.
Thomas Fehn, chief sales officer at TRUMPF, the exclusive supplier of ASML's EUV lithography machine's drive laser, highlighted during the opening ceremony that the Shenzhen branch is strategically positioned in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA), enabling it to reach and serve the markets of southern China and Southeast Asia.
Founded in 1923, TRUMPF is a leading manufacturer of lasers and machine tools. It is the sole global supplier of EUV lithography machine light sources, catering to high-end intelligent manufacturing industries such as automotive, battery, consumer electronics, medical devices, and aerospace.
With over 80 subsidiaries, TRUMPF operates across Europe, North America, South America, and Asia, maintaining production bases in multiple countries such as Germany, China, France, the UK, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Poland, Czechia, the US, and Mexico.
In November 2021, TRUMPF signed an agreement with Shenzhen Baoan District Investment Management Group to construct the TRUMPF Greater Bay Area Laser Application R&D Center Project in the Baoan China-German (Europe) Industrial Demonstration Park, said the company.
