(JW Insights) Jun 19 -- China’s leading battery Eve Energy(亿纬锂能) has secured a significant order from American Battery Solutions (ABS), a renowned US provider of renewable energy storage systems, Yicai Global reported on June 16.
Eve Energy will deliver approximately 13.4 gigawatt-hours of square lithium iron phosphate batteries to ABS under a master purchase agreement. The pair will agree on other details later.
Eve Energy, based in Huizhou of southern China's Guangdong Province, has been improving its performance lately. Earlier this month it announced a 10 GWh deal with another US company Powin, LLC.
Signing the agreement with ABS is conducive to establishing long-term and stable cooperation between the two parties, giving full play to their respective resources and advantages, and consolidating and enhancing Eve Energy’s International influence in the energy storage market, the company said.
Eve Energy sold 9.5 GW of energy storage batteries last year, up nearly 10 times from a year earlier. The firm was the world's third-largest vendor of such products after CATL and BYD, according to data from SNE Research, said the Yicai Global’s report.
Established in 2001, Eve Energy was listed on the Growth Enterprise Market of Shenzhen Stock Exchange in 2009.
