China Daily: Chinese EV supplier Aion launches seven-seat V Plus SUV

(JW Insights) Jun 27 -- Chinese automobile manufacturer GAC's EV arm Aion launched the 2024 V Plus SUV last week, with seven variants at prices starting from RMB159,900 ($22,272), reported China Daily on June 26.

Based on Aion's AEP pure electric platform, the seven-seat SUV is 4,650 millimeters long and 1,920 mm wide, with the wheelbase stretching 2,830 mm.

The SUV can be equipped with two child safety seats in the rear with the guardian's seat in the middle for optimal positioning.

The new model features an upgraded ADiGO Space intelligent cockpit, which provides kids with the room to watch animations and play games in the vehicle, reported China Daily.

The SUV can also discharge electricity to meet the demands of outdoor camping.

With a maximum battery capacity of 80 kilowatt-hours, the SUV boasts an output of 180 kilowatts, allowing it to run for 600 kilometers on a single charge.

Equipped with the ADiGO Pilot driving-assist system, the SUV has remote control parking, adaptive cruise control, blind spot detection and other features.

Aion plans to introduce a cinematic mode, pet mode and enhanced rest mode in the model through future updates, aiming to enrich the range of intelligent cockpit experiences, said the China Daily report.
