(JW Insights) Jun 28 -- CEC Semiconductor (CECS 中电化合物), a Chinese semiconductor material affiliated with Huada Semiconductor, signed a long-term agreement to supply SiC materials, including 8-inch, to South Korean company Power Master, Huada announced on June 25.
CECS was founded in 2019 in Ningbo of eastern China’s Zhejiang Province. The company specializes in developing and producing wide-bandgap semiconductor materials, with a focus on large-size, high-performance SiC and GaN materials.
Its 4-6-inch SiC and GaN materials are widely used in electric vehicles, photovoltaics, energy storage, flexible grids, and 5G base stations.
Power Master was established in 2018 as a power semiconductor IDM owned by Thailand-based HANA Microelectronics.
