Chinese EV startup Xpeng Motors unveils new model G6 with advanced features

(JW Insights) Jun 30 -- Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer Xpeng Motors has launched its latest model G6 mid-sized electric SUV, with multiple stronger features on June 29.

Priced at RMB 209,900 ($32,500), Xpeng G6 is equipped with NVIDIA Orin-X dual chips and a computing power of 508TOPS, supporting 13 active safety functions. It also has a Qualcomm SA8155P smart cockpit chip, supports full-scene voice 2.0 and realizes the customized combination of vehicle functions.

The new vehicle boasts a 0 to 100 km/h acceleration in just 3.9 seconds and a range of 580 km. It is set to commence deliveries in July 2023, said a Pandaily report.

The vehicle’s claimed combined range (CLTC) varies from 580 km to 755 km. Its battery supports 800V fast charging, adding 300 km of range in just 10 minutes. The car will enter the European market next year, said the company.

He Xiaopeng, Xpeng's chairman, said the company’s XNGP advanced intelligent assisted driving capabilities have been opened in four cities of Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen; It is expected to open in nearly 50 cities in the second half of this year.
