(JW Insights) Jul 12 -- China's power battery installed capacity in vehicles reached 32.9GWh in June and 152.1GWh in the first six months, up by 21.8% and 38.1% year-on-year, respectively, said data from China Automotive Battery Innovation Alliance (CABIA) on July 11.
China's power battery production in June and the first six months registered 60.1GWh and 293.6GWh, up by 45.7% and 36.8% year-on-year. From January to June, production of ternary and lithium iron phosphate batteries in China reported 99.6GWh and 193.5GWh, accounting for 33.9% and 65.9% of the total, said the data.
The sales of power batteries in China from January to June reached 256.5GWh, an increase of 17.5% year-on-year.
CATL, BYD, CALB(中创新航), EVE Energy, and Gotion High-Tech were the top five ranked by installed capacity both in June and in the first six months of 2023.
