He said that due to family and various reasons, Wu Xinzhou decided to return to the United States in the second half of 2022. Since then, he has been handing over work for more than ten months, determining a new working model, and optimizing the structure and organization in advance.

Regarding Wu Xinzhou's new job, He Xiaopeng revealed that he would go to the United States to become the highest-level Chinese executive of a world-renowned company and continue to cooperate with Xpeng in many aspects, such as chips. According to industry sources, Wu Xinzhou will join Nvidia to assume the position of global vice president and report to Jensen Huang.

Wu Xinzhou is the key figure behind XPeng Motors' "smart driving" label. He graduated with a bachelor's degree from Tsinghua University and later obtained master's and doctoral degrees from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in the United States. Wu Xinzhou has worked for more than ten years at chip company Qualcomm, leading its unit of autonomous driving solutions. Since joining XPeng Motors in March 2019, Wu Xinzhou has been fully responsible for guiding XPeng's autonomous driving technology development and implementation, establishing the core team and framework for intelligent driving, said a Pandaily report on August 2.
