(JW Insights) August 4 -- Chinese power-battery cathode material supplier Ronbay Technology said on August 3 that its plant in Chungju-si, South Korea, will supply customers in batches by the end of the year.
The company is the first Chinese cathode material supplier with an overseas high-nickel cathode production base, said Ronbay Technology.
At present, the company has built a cathode production capacity of 20,000 tons per year in South Korea. It plans to build a new cathode production capacity of 80,000 tons per year (including high nickel and phosphate) and a precursor production capacity of 80,000 tons annually.
Listed on the Start Market of the Shanghai Stock Exchange in 2019 and based in Ningbo, eastern China's Zhejiang Province, Ronbay Technology is a joint venture between China and South Korea. The company absorbed a Korean team as its core employees through mergers and acquisitions, gaining a natural advantage in developing business in South Korea.
Currently, the company has built a positive electrode base in South Korea with a localized team, and there are no obstacles in terms of operation management, policy trends, and cultural integration, said the company.
