(JW Insights) Aug 8 -- JW Insights, a leading Chinese consulting service for the country’s semiconductor and ICT industries, became one of the first members of global partners of the USTC Silicon Valley Project, a “dream-building” innovation park associated with the prominent University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) based in Hefei, eastern China’s Anhui Province.
JW Insights Chairman Lao Yao, along with 25 other partner representatives, attended the signing ceremony for the “USTC Silicon Valley” Shushan Park for industry development on August 4.
In March 2023, the innovation space USTC Silicon Valley released a global partner recruitment notice, inviting high-quality teams from various backgrounds, including USTC alumni, investment institutions, innovation and entrepreneurship service organizations, to establish a presence in the park. The aim was to select a “team + fund + operator” operation model, and construct an integrated innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem, according to the park.
At the signing ceremony, Lao Yao said.“As a USTC alum company, JW Insights is delighted to choose Hefei as the first city for collaboration. We are willing to contribute to the innovation and entrepreneurship of Hefei City and Anhui Province to better serve industrial and corporate development”.
He also announced that JW Insights plans to establish its first innovation base in Hefei with various resources and functions, such as project landing, incubation, investment and financing, and industry media, patents consulting, corporate governance as well as customer relations.
It is reported that “USTC Silicon Valley” will include an iFlytek Town (industry clusers) leveraging China’s leading AI company iFlytek headquartered in Hefei with its founder Liu Qingfeng graduated from USTC.
