(JW Insights) Aug 31 -- TSMC Nanjing Company in eastern China’s Jiangsu Province achieved revenue of RMB8.037 billion($1.103 billion) in January-July, surging 57.1% from a year earlier, according to the data from the Statistics Bureau of Pukou District, Nanjing City.
From January to July, Pukou District’s 61 enterprises in Nanjing’s IC industry chain database secured revenue of RMB10.489 billion($1.439 billion), up 36.9% over the previous year. The revenue scale maintained first place in Nanjing.
In recent years, a group of leading IC companies have settled down in Pukou District including TSMC, HT-Tech, K-Ding Electronic, Changjing Electronics, Silicon Integrity Semiconductor, and AaltoSemi. Over 300 companies in the upstream and downstream industry chain gained RMB16.022 billion($2.199 billion) revenue in 2022, accounting for one-third of Nanjing's total.
In August this year, Pukou District Industry and Information Technology Bureau proposed several measures to promote high-quality development of the IC Industry, including increasing investment in core equipment, rewarding top talents, and attracting major projects.
