(JW Insights) Oct 11 -- Suppliers of in-display optical fingerprint modules for the Huawei Mate 60 series have increased their prices by 15% to 20%, with some models at a 30% price hike, according to supply chain sources.

The main suppliers for Mate 60 include Goodix Technology, GigaDevice (Silead), and Will Semiconductor (JIIOV Technology).

The Huawei Mate 60 series, as well as the upcoming P70 series in 2024, will feature in-display optical fingerprint modules. The in-display optical fingerprint chips are the core components.

It is reported that optical innovation has always been a strength of Huawei's high-end smartphones. The optical configuration of the Mate 60 series is leading the industry with the Mate 60 Pro series featuring three rear cameras and two front cameras. China's Ofilm is the core supplier of lens modules for the Mate 60 series.
