106 Chinese IC companies are listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange STAR Market by October end

(JW Insights) Nov 6 -- There are 106 Chinese IC companies listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange STAR Market by the end of October, 2023, with a total of RMB289.9 billion ($39.81 billion) in raised funds and a total market value of more than RMB2 trillion ($274.63 billion), reported Shanghai Securities News on November 5.

They account for 64% of the number of A-share companies in the same industry, 88% of the total funds raised, and 56% of the total market value.

The STAR Market has a total of 562 listed companies at end of October, with their IPO fundraising amount at nearly RMB900 billion ($123.58 billion) and market value of more than RMB6 trillion ($823.88 billion), according to the Shanghai Securities News.

The IC companies on the STAR Market cover design, manufacturing, packaging and testing, as well as equipment, materials, EDA tools and software, and IP technology licensing, with several leading companies being industry benchmarks.

The STAR Market is a Chinese science and technology-focused equities market established on July 22, 2019.
