Yang Jian, former vice president of Huawei's global supply chain, has joined Denglin Technology, a Chinese AI startup, as its vice president of global operations.

The announcement by Denglin Technology (登临科技) said that Yang Jian would be responsible for product mass production, strategic integration of high-quality supply chain resources, and refined operations to meet growing demands for the more high-performance products from the company.

“I will be committed to building an efficient and agile supply chain and a customer-oriented operation team,” Yang Jian said, “The GPU+, independently developed by Denglin Technology, will get mass-produced. We will cooperate closely with our supply chain partners and help the company become an RMB100 billion ($15.48 billion)-level AI chip platform company.”

Yang Jian has more than 25 years of experience in supply chain operations and strategic management. During his tenure as vice president at Huawei, he was in charge of the overall supply chain planning and digital transformation of the over $40 billion Network & Enterprise Business Group. Before that, he worked at Apple China as a senior executive for iPhone’s supply and demand management and served as vice president of global operations for Technicolor SA/Cisco.

Founded in 2017, Denglin Technology is the first domestic AI computing platforms provider that builds the core technology of GPGPU independently. Its GPU+ series products created a new generation of AI general-purpose processors/accelerators, filling the domestic high-performance GPU field gaps. The company has R&D centers in Beijing, Shanghai, Sichuan, Hangzhou, and the Silicon Valley in the U.S.
