Huaqin Technology, the Shanghai-headquartered Chinese ODM of smart hardware products, officially opened its 2nd manufacturing center in Nanchang, southeastern China's Jiangxi Province, at its key global suppliers' conference in late November.
According to Qiu Wensheng, Chairman and CEO of Huaqin Technology(华勤技术), the investment for the new center exceeds RMB13 billion ($2 billion), with a total construction area of 1.34 million square meters. It will focus on tablet PC, TWS headsets, smartwatches, and AIoT devices, becoming Huaqin's largest manufacturing center after completion.
Meanwhile, Huaqin operates an R&D center in Nanchang, which is expected to attract 10,000 R&D engineers and technicians to work there. These developments will make Nanchang more important for Huaqin.
Over 300 representatives from Huaqin's global supplier chain were invited to the Nanchang conference and witnessed the new center's opening. Huaqin’s suppliers include UNISOC, Maxscend, Silan, SGMICRO, Awinic, Goodix, Bestechnic, Intel, Qualcomm, ASM, Bosch, and NXP.
The two production bases are expected to generate an industrial output value exceeding RMB100 billion ($15.7 billion), improving and strengthening Huaqin’s product development, logistics, and warehousing capabilities.
According to its website, Huaqin Technology was founded in 2005 and has become a world-class ODM of smart hardware products with clients in more than 100 countries.
