EDA startup X-EPIC hires industry veteran Xie Zhonghui as Chief Marketing Strategy Officer to promote innovation and global competitiveness

Chinese EDA startup X-EPIC (芯华章) announced on January 25 that Xie Zhonghui (谢中辉) joined the company as Chief Marketing Strategy Officer. He is expected to promote technological innovation and ecosystem development of the company with international competitiveness.

Founded in 2020, X-EPIC has a team of seasoned EDA specialists with experience in multinationals. Its solution covers the comprehensive verification solution, which are Hardware Emulation, FPGA-based Prototyping, Intelligent Verification, Formal Verification, and Logic Simulation.

Xie Zhonghui said, “I fully agree with the EDA 2.0 concept with the new critical technology path proposed by X-EPIC. We have to accelerate IC design innovation through changes in methodology and technological convergence. I am looking forward to integrating my understanding of the supply chain with the market, using new ideas to work from the front-end, lowering the threshold for innovation, and helping customers create differentiated chips with better user experience.”

Xie Zhonghui has nearly 30 years of experience in the semiconductor field. He has worked in chip design companies and EDA companies in positions like chip design, process integration, marketing and sales, and other engineering and management roles.

Before joining X-EPIC, Xie Zhonghui worked for many years in Asia-Pacific market management in world-leading EDA companies such as Synopsys and Cadence, providing customers with system-level EDA solutions.

During his tenure as deputy general manager and head of the chip automation division at Synopsys China, he led the team to establish the China Verification Solutions R&D Center for the rapidly developing and iterative Asia-Pacific chip market to meet the needs of customers in the automotive electronics, 5G, AI, high-performance computing and other fields. Leading customers have approved his projects in the industry, such as Huawei, HiSilicon, Samsung, MediaTek, Alibaba, Baidu, UNISOC, Enflame, Horizon, and Cambricon.
