China’s chip company Jia’en Semiconductor secures Series A financing to accelerate the power semiconductor development

Chinese listed power chip company Qingdao Jia’en Semiconductor Co., Ltd. (佳恩半导体) announced its recent completion of tens of millions of yuan in Series A financing.

ADDOR Capital Limited Partnership is the exclusive investor for this round, and the funds will be used to accelerate the research and development of power semiconductor chips, construction of production lines, and talent development, said the company on April 8. 

It raised a Pre-A round of funding in December 2021.

Founded in 2015, Jia’en Semiconductor is headquartered in Qingdao, eastern China’s Shandong Province. It runs its R&D centers in Nanshan District of Shenzhen and Zhangjiang High-tech Park in Shanghai. It has now built an IGBT product testing laboratory and an application and reliability laboratory, according to the company’s official website. 

Jia’en Semiconductor is designated as a national high-tech enterprise. Its product lines cover self-developed 600V~1200V IGBT, 500V~1500V MOS, and 400V~1200V FRD chips. It owns eight authorized invention patents and 30 utility model patents, with another 20 patents pending.
