Arm China (安谋科技) and a Chinese AI startup Rokid announced a strategic cooperation agreement on IC design for metaverse applications.

Founded in Hangzhou, east China’s Zhejiang Province in 2014, Rokid specializes in human-computer interaction technology. It develops software and hardware for AI products based on its YodaOS-XR operating system for clients in a growing ecosystem.

The announced cooperation involves Arm China to provide Rokid with a new AR solution with high-performance computing and low-power consumption to meet the specific needs of a new generation of metaverse devices.

Arm China has attracted growing clients since it promoted its locally developed core power XPU intelligent data-stream convergence computing platform for more diversified IC design needs.

According to the agreement, the two parties will create a completely customized design, verification, and test scheme for AR chips based on Arm China’s new computing platform, transplanting and optimizing related software and algorithms. Their cooperation will also involve launching a new super domain multifunctional intelligent computing platform architecture for metaverse devices.（校对|WM Zhang）
