Hongqi, the premium arm of Chinese automaker FAW Group, unveiled three electric car models at a metaverse event held on September 5, reported China Daily.
The marque Hongqi ("Red Flag" in Chinese) said it expects to have 13 new energy vehicle models by 2025, with their total sales reaching 500,000 units in the same year.
The three concepts unveiled on September 5 are one sedan, one mid-size SUV and one full-size SUV.
Hongqi will start volume production of the sedan in September 2022, China Daily said.
The sedan will have a range of over 1,000 kilometers on one charge and it will accelerate from zero to 100 km/hour in three seconds.
Both the sedan and the mid-size SUV will be built based on Hongqi's latest electric car platform, called FMEs, said the carmaker.
