SAIC-GM’s Chevrolet launches new Monza sedan supporting wireless connection with different systems

SAIC-GM 's Chevrolet brand - the US auto giant GM's China joint venture - launched on September 13 the all-new Monza in three variants supporting wireless connection with different systems. It also supports wireless phone charging and is equipped with an intelligent connected operating system and an on-board camera, reported China Daily.

Gathering GM’s global resources, the new model has upgraded intelligent connected and technological configurations. There are 53 practical configurations across all three variants to provide consumers with a high-quality driving experience.

To provide an intelligent driving experience, the car allows wireless connection with different systems, such as Apple Car-Play, Baidu CarLife and Huawei HiCar.

The model features two suspended 10.25-inch screens and an intelligent connected operating system named Xiaoxue. It allows voice interaction recognition, augmented reality navigation and a variety of entertainment applications.

Chevrolet’s new sedan is at prices ranging from RMB94,900 ($13,625) to RMB108,900($15,529).

With a 1.5-liter Dual Variable Valve Timing in-line four-cylinder engine and six-speed Dual Clutch Transmission, the sedan has a maximum output of 83 kilowatts and a top torque of 141 Newton meters. Two of the variants have this engine with the third being a 1.3-liter hybrid system, according to China Daily.

The model is 4,656 millimeters long with the wheelbase stretching to 2,640 mm.
