Japanese car company Nissan said its sales in China in November decreased by 52.5% to 47,983 on its website on December 5; Chip shortage and pandemic controls are big factors, reported JW Insights.
The firm also said its sales of passenger and light commercial vehicles in the first eleven months in China in 2022 decreased by 20.2% to 974,715.
Mr. Shohei Yamazaki, senior vice president of Nissan Motor and chairman of Nissan China Management Committee, said, "Chip shortage and pandemic controls have brought continuous pressure on the company's sales."
"In December, Nissan's joint venture in China officially rolled the 15 millionth vehicle off the production line, and Nissan will continue to deepen its commitment to the Chinese market," added Mr. Shohei Yamazaki.
