Chinese leading embedded AI SoC vendor Artosyn(酷芯微电子) won the Best Innovative Product of The Year Award with its chip AR9341 at the 2023 China Semiconductor Investment Alliance (CSIA) Annual Meeting & China IC Top Award Ceremony held on December 17 in Hefei, eastern China’s Anhui Province.

This is the second time that Artosyn AR9341 has won the Innovative Product Award, a great recognition of Artosyn in chip design and technology. The chip’s innovation lies in adding a neural processing unit (NPU) with four TOPS computing power to the end-side intelligent SoC chip. The NPU significantly improves MAC utilization by enhancing the internal MAC array structure, data multiplexing method, and lossless data compression, according to the award announcement.

Regarding image signal processing(ISP), its maximum image processing capability is increased to 9M pixels at 60fps, which meets the application requirements of high-end visual products. With an improved 3D noise reduction algorithm and hardware structure to enhance HDR image quality, AR9341 has been applied in smart IP Cameras, AI edge boxes, vacuum cleaning robots, and smart vehicles.

Founded in 2011 and headquartered in Hefei, East China’s Anhui Province, Artosyn is committed to providing high-performance and low-power chips and related tool chain solutions through independent research and development of chip core architecture and core IP. Its products are mainly used in many fields, such as intelligent security, intelligent hardware, and smart vehicle, according to Artosyn.

The Best Innovative Product of The Year Award aims to recognize outstanding innovative companies that fill in the technology gaps in China or the world, effectively make breakthroughs, and promote the improvement of China’s IC industry chain.

One hundred thirty-seven member units of the China Semiconductor Investment Alliance and more than 400 semiconductor industry CEOs jointly formed the judging panel to select products with strong technological innovation, independent intellectual property rights, and deep dedication in one sector in the semiconductor field.
