China’s leading integrated circuit IP provider Actt (锐成芯微) ranked first in China and third worldwide in analog and mixed-signal IP and wireless RF IP, JW Insights reported, quoting the 2022 report of IPnest, an IP data analysis agency.

Founded in 2011, Actt focuses on low-power physical IPs and SoC customization services, based in Chengdu, southwestern China's Sichuan Province. The company has developed over 600 IPs, and established partnership with more than 20 foundries worldwide.

In the past year, Actt has expanded its business in analog IP, storage IP, interface IP, and chip customization services, winning more customers.

Actt seized new business opportunities in the Bluetooth market and successfully developed dual-mode Bluetooth RF IP on the 22nm ultra-low leakage (ULL) process, helping design houses develop high-performance Bluetooth SoCs more efficiently.

It also released an embedded storage IP - SuperMTP®, for automotive electronics in response to the growing IP demand in automotive chips. SuperMTP® has been adopted by internationally renowned automotive chip manufacturers.

Actt is setting eyes on the physical IP market, which will also embrace a new round of growth. According to IPnest, physical IP accounted for about 40% of the overall IP market in 2021, reaching $2.269 billion. It is estimated that the amount will hit $4.613 billion in 2026.

Actt attributes its growing IP business to the continuous new projects developed by its clients, including increasingly more listed chip companies and a larger number of design houses. Data shows that in 2022, China’s IC design companies exceeded 3,200.
