Chinese tech giant Huawei signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with the government of southwestern China’s Chongqing City on January 30, agreeing to jointly build the industry chain and ecosystem for intelligent networked electric vehicles, JW Insights reported.
They will continue to deepen cooperation in artificial intelligence, smart cities, industrial Internet, and digital transformation, according to the agreement.
The 2023 work report of Chongqing government, released on January 10, proposed to build a world-class intelligent networked new energy vehicle industry cluster. The city plans to speed up the construction of EV projects of Changan and Seres - the two major auto brands in the city. The plan also covers constructing more “charging, storage and parking” facilities.
