In Rockchip's statement, it emphasized that "Our company has complied with all applicable export control laws and regulations. Rockchip has never conducted any business with prohibited and restricted countries, regions, parties, nor supported any activities that apply Rockchip's products to any end use in violation of applicable export laws and regulations."

It specializes in developing and supplying system on chip(SoC) products for tablets, PCs, streaming media TV boxes, IoT devices, and other consumer electronics, intelligent hardware, and computer vision sectors.
The Moscow-based Hamster Robotics Lab focuses on developing robotic, microelectronic devices, computing and telecommunication, artificial intelligence, and IoT systems, according to its website.
