(JW Insights) Apr 23 -- Ningbo Eastern Institute of Technology (EIT) in eastern China's Zhejiang Province signed a strategic cooperation agreement on April 20 with the local government of Zhenhai District in the city to set up a research institute focusing on integrated circuits, according to EIT.
The institute will also work on industrial software, energy conservation and environmental protection. They will set up technical service teams as well relying on EIT’s talent resources for enterprises in Zhenhai District.
In addition, They planned to establish Ningbo Digital Twin (EIT) Research Institute.
EIT is funded by the education foundation of Will Semiconductor founder Yu Renrong, and is expected to complete construction in 2025. It aims to foster top-notch talents in innovative research of core technologies.
