(JW Insights) Apr 24 -- JW Insights "Chip Power 2023" Demo event completed its session in Nanjing City of eastern China's Jiangsu Province on April 20, showcasing intelligent power integrated circuit (IC) management chip, high-performance GPU, 5G smartphone solution and radio frequency module.

As of now, the 5th "Chip Power" demo event has completed 14 preliminary rounds, attracting significant attention in China's semiconductor industry. A final round of competition for the winners will be announced at the upcoming 7th JiWei Semiconductor Summit (JWSS) on June 2-3 in Xiamen City of southeastern China's Fujian Province.

The Nanjing session showcased exceptional projects in intelligent power integrated circuit (IC) management chip, high-performance GPU, 5G smartphone solution and radio frequency module.

This year's event is set to take on a new format, combining online and offline events in ten cities across China, including major cities and local industrial parks.

The competition, which previously focused on IC design, has now expanded its range of project categories to include materials and equipment, parts, terminal modules, and other industries such as industrial interconnection, intelligent vehicle, new energy, and aerospace.

Over the past four years, the events have attracted more than 500 outstanding semiconductor startups, covering the entire industry chain, including IP, EDA, chip design, equipment, and materials. The competition has also invited nearly 1,000 investment experts from various professional institutions to serve as judges.

Several startups stood out through the "Chip Power" event and successfully raised funds, including Black Sesame(黑芝麻智能), Metax Technology (沐曦集成电路), Capcon(华封科技), EPIC MEMS(开元通信), SIZONE Technology(杭州众硅). These companies have been well recognized in the industry and have become "IC unicorns" that drive the new progress of the industry.

JW Insights will also provide investment and financing consulting and publicity services for participating enterprises. This will give them the opportunity to communicate directly with well-known investment institutions and investors.

The "Chip Power" demo event has emerged as an influential platform and an investment bellwether in the semiconductor industry thanks to its high-quality projects, prestigious judges, and efficient financing process. It is co-organized by JW Insights and China Semiconductor Investment Alliance (CSIA) since 2019.
