(JW Insights) Jun 12 -- Baidu's chatbot Ernie Bot has secured the top spot in the comprehensive rankings of Chinese AI large-scale models, according to a recent AI experience report by the Chinese Enterprise Development Research Center under Xinhua Research Institute affiliated with Xinhua News Agency.

The evaluation, targeting mainstream AI large-scale models, assessed four dimensions - foundational abilities, IQ, EQ, and work efficiency. It covered 36 sub-abilities and involved 300 questions.

Ernie Bot performed the best in all dimensions out of other Chinese large language models, including Alibaba's Tongyi Qianwen, iFlytek's Sparke, and SenseTime's SenseChat.

In terms of IQ testing, Ernie Bot outperformed ChatGPT 3.5, ranking second behind GPT4.

In addition, the evaluation results also showed the remarkable performance of the ChatGPT models, with ChatGPT 4.0 showcasing improvements across all capabilities when compared to its 3.5 version, said the Xinhua Research Institute report.
