(JW Insights) Jun 28 -- China’s major telecom operator China Mobile officially launched on June 27 the world’s first self-developed LTE-Cat.1 chip based on the RISC-V architecture and its first in-house cellular IoT communication chips, JW Insights learned.
The company also announced the first comprehensive smart connection protocol for IoT intelligent hardware.
The two chips provide strong support for China’s communication industry and IoT industries. It took nearly two years to develop the two chips, representing significant innovation achievements for China Mobile in the field of communication chips.
The LTE-Cat.1 based on the RISC-V architecture, features low power consumption, high performance, and high integration, making it suitable for a wide range of applications in IoT, smart homes, intelligent transportation, and other fields.
China Mobile’s first in-house cellular IoT communication chip is highly integrated, low power-consuming, and cost-effective, making it widely applicable in smart homes, smart industries, and more.
