(JW Insights) Jul 13 -- Huawei and China Electronics Corporation (CEC中国电子) announced to merge Kunpeng and PKS into the new "Pengteng" ecosystem, which will support both the Kunpeng and Phytium processors, JW Insights learned.
This move is expected to simplify software and hardware adaptation and certification for partners, enabling them to develop a wider range of products covering cloud, data centers, edge computing, and PCs.
Currently, servers and PCs based on Kunpeng and Phytium processors have been applied to core business scenarios in government, telecommunications, finance, and electricity, forming two mainstream ecosystems Kunpeng and PKS.
In the future, the Pengteng ecosystem will fully leverage the strengths of both CEC and Huawei and promote deeper cooperation in industry standards, partner programs, technology collaboration, open-source contributions, marketing, and talent development, said CEC.
