(JW Insights) Jul 17 -- GAC Toyota, the Japanese car giant's joint venture with Chinese partner in Guangzhou, and internet giant Tencent have signed a framework agreement for strategic cooperation in digital ecosystem in Shenzhen. They will carry out all-round cooperation in automotive cloud platforms, connected vehicle safety, vehicle networking, and digital marketing, JW Insights learned.
In addition, they will also deepen cooperation in cultivating digital talent, exploring and co-creating cutting-edge technologies.
This move is expected to inject new momentum into GAC Toyota's digital transformation and Tencent's planning in the automotive industry.
