(JW Insights) Aug 21 -- China’s state-owned conglomerate China Electronics Corporation (CEC中国电子) and Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA) signed a memorandum of cooperation to set up an IC school and a big data research institute, The Paper reported on August 18.
General manager of CEC Li Ligong and President of NUAA Shan Zhongde attended the signing ceremony in Shenzhen and held in-depth discussions on the project.
Founded in 1989, Shenzhen-based CEC takes cyberspace security and informatization as its core business and has key core products of computer CPU and operating system.
“The IC school and big data research institute will train high-end talents to focus on solving the problems that restrict enterprise and industrial development,” said Li Ligong.
Shan Zhongde expressed the hope that both parties can leverage the school and research institute to gather large interdisciplinary teams, build large platforms, and undertake major projects. They will jointly explore new mechanisms and models for industry-education integration.
