(JW Insights) Aug 31 -- Chinese ODM company Goertek ranked in the top 5 companies in media coverage and searches by netizens and mobile users among Chinese listed consumer electronics companies during their release of 2022 financial reports, while BYD ranked in the top 5 of those among listed automotive electronics companies in China, said a recent JW Insights report.
Listed chip companies in China are paying more attention proactive public opinion management to prevent, control, and resolve related risks. With multi-dimensional indicators and case analysis, JW Insights analysts dug into the public opinion data of listed chip companies in consumer electronics and automotive electronics, as they arel releasing their 2022 annual finance statements.
The 56 mobile phone electronics companies JW Insights studied include six device and manufacturing companies, 17 semiconductor companies, 16 precision structural parts companies, seven acoustic companies, seven components and distribution companies, and three camera companies. Thirty of them showed negative revenue growth, and 11 companies showed negative profits in their financial reports.
Two hundred and eighty-four media reports covered their financial statements. Their Baidu and WeChat attention indexes were 1,156,842 times and 15,221,653 times.
Transsion, Foxconn Industrial Internet(FII), Lens Technology, Chipown, and Goertek ranked in the top 5 regarding media coverage in Baidu information retrieval data.
Goertek, O-Film, Lens Technology, Luxshare Precision, and Tongfu Microelectronics are the top 5 for netizens to search and follow among the 41 mobile phone electronics companies with Baidu index data.
In mobile users' searches, Goertek, Transsion, FII, Luxshare Precision, and Wingtech Technology are the top 5 mobile phone electronics companies mobile users searched for, as shown from the WeChat index data.
By industry segments in mobile phone electronics companies, the Chinese media is most concerned about "terminal and manufacturing," followed by "semiconductors, precision structural parts," and the netizens are most concerned about "acoustics," followed by "terminal and manufacturing, camera."
The 41 automotive electronics companies JW Insights investigated included six power device companies, seven passive component companies, 11 smart cockpit and Internet of Vehicles companies, nine control chip companies, six sensor companies, and two memory companies. Among them, 25 showed an increase in revenue, and only 6 showed a negative profit. Two hundred and twenty-five media articles covered their financial statements. Their Baidu and WeChat attention indexes were 839,088 and 2,593,782 times.
BYD, Sinowealth Electronics, Sinopack Electronic, Silan Microelectronics, and Will Semiconductor ranked in the top 5 regarding media coverage in Baidu information retrieval data.
BYD, Baidu, Thundersoft Tech, Silan Microelectronics, and Sinowealth Electronics are the top 5 for netizens to search and follow among the 32 automotive companies included in Baidu Index data.
In mobile users' searches, BYD, CASIC, Desay SV, Silan Microelectronics, and Times Electric were the top 5 mobile phone electronics supply chain companies mobile users searched for, as shown from the WeChat index data.
By industry segments for automotive electronics companies, the Chinese media are most concerned with "power devices," followed by "sensors and storage." The netizens are most concerned with7 "power devices," followed by "smart cockpit, and Internet of Vehicles, storage."
