(JW Insights) Sep 20 -- Chinese ODM company Goertek took the lead in formulating the group standard of China Electronic Components Industry Association's "Near-ear Open Audio Equipment Part 1: Acoustic Performance Measurement Methods", which was officially approved and released recently and marked the birth of the industry's first near-ear open audio technology standard, JW Insights learned.
Near-ear open audio devices are open wearable devices within a short range around the ear hole, including virtual and augmented reality devices, smart audio glasses, open headphones, neck-mounted speakers, and other wearable audio devices.
Founded in June 2001, listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange in May 2008, and headquartered in Weifang of eastern China's Shangdong Province, Goertek is a supplier for Apple and has been committed to the research and development of near-ear acoustic technology for many years, with technological accumulation and innovations in high sound quality, noise reduction, sound effects and privacy.
The new standard will ensure and enhance consumers' product experience and promote the development of the near-ear open audio equipment industry.
